Holding Hands with the Holy Spirit

Holding Hands with the Holy Spirit (Part 1 in a 4 part series)

Not quite a year after my Son was born I was inspired by several people to participate in a local Religious Encounter Weekend for women.  I attended the 3 day weekend and I felt even more refreshed and restored.

The following year I was asked to join them again only this time as a Table Leader.  This meant that I would keep conversation at our table going and always try to keep everyone at our table involved.  Our goal was to make sure everyone knew they were welcome and we were happy they gave up their weekend to be with us.  We wanted everyone to know they belonged with us.

Prior to the actual event we met as a group on several occasions to pray for all involved in the weekend.  We would also listen to various talks being presented and critique them.  It gave the people who were talking a chance to practice prior to the event.

I had missed the first couple of meetings due to prior commitments so I felt a little left out when I was finally able to attend the third meeting.  This meant I missed out on the initial introductions.  Most people there were already familiar with each other or had known each other on a personal level from previous experiences together.

At the close of the evening we gathered together in a circle, held hands and bowed our heads as we said the Lord’s Prayer in unison.  As we were praying I felt another hand over mine and that of the woman to my right.  After we prayed I opened my eyes and looked over at her.  I introduced myself and told her the capacity I held for the weekend.  She told me her name was Paula* and that she was giving the “Ideals” talk for the weekend.  Then I asked, “Did you notice anything while we were praying?”  She replied, “You mean our hands?”  She felt it too!  We both had tears in our eyes.  I felt we had actually held hands with the Holy Spirit.  I felt it just as if you and I were holding hands with one another at this very moment -- yet there was ANOTHER hand over ours.

(If you enjoyed this post -- please stay tuned.  I received confirmation that still inspires me to this day.)

"Again I tell you, if two of you join your voices on earth to pray for anything whatever, it shall be granted you by my Father in heaven. Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst."  ~Matthew 18:19-20

Hebrews 2:4
God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

Acts 8:15
When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

Clairaudience (Hearing beyond the natural sense)

Clairaudience is the psychic ability to hear things that are inaudible. Meaning a psychic hears beyond the natural sense of hearing. He or she may ‘hear clearly’, and perceive sounds or words from spirits, guides, or angels or simply hear into your future.

We hear thoughts within ourselves using the "inner ear" to hear.

When I am in a reading I will get specific messages that only the client will understand.

In one recent conversation, I heard a deceased loved one with a message for her daughter, "Your Mom is So proud of you.  She says, you shine like an angel.  She is showing me your hair with light around it."

My client responded, "OMG, only she would know that, she told me that all the time."

I don't question the message.  It doesn't matter if it makes sense to me or not.

There was a time when I did question the messages (because even to me they sounded a bit odd) but we have to learn to listen & trust Spirit.  New doors open when we listen and trust.

Another client was discussing a friends deceased Son -- a child who passed at a very young age.  Immediately, in my mind I heard, "His name was Thomas."

She responded, "OMG, Yes, his name was Thomas.  That's crazy that you knew exactly who it was I was talking about."

If you are open to this, it WILL come to you.  I must reiterate that this does not come FROM me.  It comes THROUGH me.  I cannot take personal credit for it.  I am not the shining star, Spirit is Shining THROUGH me with these words that provide the comfort my clients are searching for.

Clairvoyant: To See Clearly

Clairvoyant: someone who has the power of clairvoyance. Clairvoyance comes from the French and Latin words Clair meaning CLEAR and Voyant and Voir meaning TO SEE.

So a clairvoyant is said to be able to see clearly what normally can’t be seen, or to see the future or to see the spirits of people who have passed over -- A person who is able to see spirit and foresee the future.

Clairvoyance is the art of 'seeing' beyond the five senses. Clairvoyance is often called the 'sixth sense' or esp. It is related to the images that are always present in our minds that bring messages from other frequency and realms. These images can be archetypes, colors, still frame, animations. They can be anything. They can remain on a few seconds or much longer. Initially its easiest to see them with your eyes closed. As you develop your psychic abilities will be able to look to higher frequency, with your eyes opened.

In clairvoyance we 'see' with what is commonly called the third eye. In the human brain there is a gland called the pineal gland. It is located in the back area of the brain almost in the center of the head. This gland has degenerated from its original size comparable to a ping pong ball to its present size comparable to a pea, because we forgot how to use it a long time ago when our breathing patterns changed.

For centuries the gift of clairvoyance was forbidden and hidden in cryptic messages that few could interpret. People, and religious leaders feared the power of the gifted and the truth these people would bring to an enlightened consciousness.

When I am giving a reading I receive visuals in my mind.  The best way for me to describe it is that the visuals play in my mind like a movie.  As fast as they appear I will often times get them back to back to back.  I have to pay close attention.  I don't always know what they mean but I will describe the visual as it will mean something to the person I am reading for.

There are occasions when initially the person I am reading for doesn't understand the meaning immediately.  Typically, they will understand the meaning in a short amount of time as they will have the experience and then have an OMG moment.

For instance, I saw reference for one of my clients to a yellow butterfly.  At the time, she had no idea what it meant.  She later remembered something in her home growing up that was shaped like a yellow butterfly.  Now she see's yellow butterflies often -- they even tap on windows to get her attention.  I know you wonder how that is possible but according to her -- Spirit knocked at a window and when she looked up she saw a butterfly at the exact area where the sound was coming from.  She said it was like it was trying to get in.

Often times I will receive a visual that is a specific message to the person I am reading for.  Albeit a sign from the other side that confirms a connection.  The person(s) who have passed will show me gestures that allow the person I am reading for to understand it truly is their friend or loved one I am communicating with.

I have learned NOT to question these visuals.  I trust, explain them and do not doubt.  I don't have to understand it's meaning -- the message is for my client so I do my job and pass it on.

The Story of Patrick

The Story of Patrick*

I had a full-time job doing administrative work for a local company.  I loved most aspects of my job and met many great people through this network.  There were about 30 in-store employees.

Patrick was in sales and he began his employment not much before I did.  We didn't have the opportunity to interact often but each day we exchanged a friendly hello.  When needed, I would assist with administrative duties, however, he never asked for much.  He was a nice man who kept to himself mostly.  I never heard him complain about anything.

I knew he had children but I wasn't sure how many.  I knew his faith was extremely important to him and I never saw him behave in any way that was not professional.  He always had a smile on his face.

One day in early October he strolls through the office and mentions to me that he would be gone for a couple of weeks.  He was going down south to see his oldest Son and Daughter-in-law, and he would be present for the birth of his first-born grandchild.  He was so excited.  He said he was driving and while he wasn't looking forward to the long drive, he was looking forward to the time he would be spending with his Son and the newest family member.

In the midst of it all he would be celebrating a birthday.  His birthday was 8 days before mine and we were the same age.

For some reason I thought he was leaving the following Monday but when I got to work that day I noticed he was there.  I remember saying to him, “Oh, I thought you were leaving today.  I didn't think you would be in.”  He responded, “No, I leave later today but I don’t mind driving at night.”  He went on to say, “I may be able to fly.  There’s a great rate on airfare and it won’t cost that much more.  I have to figure out if I can make it work.”

So the afternoon rolls around and I asked him if he was going to fly out.  He said, “No, actually something came up and I’m going to have to drive after all.”  He did not elaborate.  He just said, “It’s complicated.”

I said, “Have a safe trip and enjoy your visit with family.”  He said, “Thank you.  I hope I make it back in once piece.”  Those words lingered with me for some reason.  I mean really lingered.  I couldn't seem to get them out of my mind.  I prayed for his safety.

Tuesday morning rolls around.  Everyone is busy with their daily routines.  The phone seemed like it was ringing off the hook.  I’m working at my desk when the phone rings again.  The woman on the line asks to speak to the President of the Company.  I knew he was in a meeting so I passed along that information.  She went on to ask for the HR Manager.  Wanting to make sure I was directing her to the appropriate party I asked, “May I ask what this is in regards to?”  She paused for a moment and said, “I need to report the death of an employee.”  MY HEART DROPPED.

So, indeed, I transferred the call to the HR Manager.  I could overhear some of his conversation but not much.  I knew that soon enough word would come through.  I was trying to think about whom it might be and of course my thoughts immediately went to Patrick.  I could see others who were visibly upset but still nothing had been confirmed to me.  It seemed like at least an hour had gone by before a fellow employee said, “Did you hear?”  I said, “No, actually, I have not.”  She went on to say, “Patrick was killed in a car accident early this morning on his way to see his Son.”  It took everything I could muster to not cry right then and there.  I couldn't concentrate.  I couldn't focus.  My heart was breaking for Patrick and his family.

As usual, I went home for lunch.  The passing of Patrick weighed heavily on my mind.  While I was preparing something to eat, I said in my mind, “OK, Patrick, can you get a message to me this quickly?  If so, please tell me something there is absolutely no way I could possibly know.”  It had been about 12 hours since he had passed.

Immediately, I heard, “Please tell my Son, Danny that I love him and I am very proud of him.”  I had no idea what the names were for any of his children or if they were boys or girls with the exception of his youngest, whom I knew was a boy.  I was thinking to myself, well, I guess I’ll have to wait until his obituary is published because I’m not sure how else I can confirm that information.

That evening, I decided search online for Patrick to see if I could find any information on the accident or his family.  Eventually, I did find some information and I did confirm that he indeed had a Son named Danny.  But I had no idea which order he was in or how specifically the message applied to him.  Yes, I knew what the message meant to me but not how it would affect Danny.

A few days after Patrick had passed I was walking by his desk at work.  I just happened to look that direction and there he was – a brief glimpse of him I received – standing there smiling.  It was just a blip but he was showing me he is still with us in Spirit.

It wasn't until the obituary was finally published that I realized Danny was indeed the Son he was on his way to see at the time of his passing.  It made sense to me that I received that message because this was such an important event in all of their lives.

I've thought of him often since his physical departure from this earthly world – surrounding him and his family in loving thoughts and pure white light.  Knowing Spirit has a beautiful angel helping up in Heaven.  Bless you, Patrick, and all that you brought to this world.  Your character shall live on through those you have touched by your kindness.
